The Role

Companion & homemaker, done to a higher standard.

Cornerstone companions provide non-medical companion and homemaker services in clients' homes. It's work built on presence, consistency and trust.

What the work looks like

Companionship: conversation, games, hobbies, and helping clients stay in touch with family
Accompanying clients on outings, errands and appointments
Preparing and serving meals
Light housekeeping, laundry and grocery or pharmacy pick-up
Being a calm, reassuring presence in the home

Cornerstone companions never provide hands-on personal care or any medical care: no bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, help with transfers or walking, or handling medications.

Who we're looking for

Genuine warmth, patience and respect for older adults
Reliability: on time, every time, and in touch if anything changes
A polished, professional appearance and manner in a client's home
Discretion with every family's privacy
Clear written updates after each visit
Spanish or another second language is a plus

Requirements

Clear Florida's Level 2 background screening through the state's Clearinghouse
Verifiable employment history and professional references
In-person interviews
A valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record and auto insurance for roles that include driving clients
A signed confidentiality agreement
Live in or near Palm Beach County
