for as long as
your family needs.

Cornerstone Home Companion provides non-medical companion and homemaker services in your loved one's home: companionship, outings and appointments, meals and light housekeeping, or simply someone present in the home. Available on its own, or alongside any Cornerstone membership at a preferred member rate, exclusively for families in Palm Beach County.

Level 2 Background Screened·AHCA Registration Pending·Palm Beach County

Some families need more than a check-in. A parent who spends too many days alone. A spouse who needs a few hours to themselves. A long day of appointments. Or simply a parent who does better with company. Home Companion is time with a trusted, screened companion, scheduled around your family.

Every visit is documented, and your family receives a written note afterward: what was done, how the day went, and anything you should know.

What a Visit Can Include

Companionship and help around the home.

Every service below is a non-medical companion or homemaker service, provided under Cornerstone's Homemaker & Companion Services registration (AHCA registration pending).

Companion

Time together, in and out of the home

  • Conversation, reading, games and hobbies, and help staying in touch with family by phone or video
  • Outings, errands, social and religious activities
  • Driving to appointments, waiting on-site and returning home
  • Visits during a hospital stay, and a ride home afterward
  • Preparing and serving meals, and sharing them together
  • Sitter services: simply being present in the home
Homemaker

Help keeping the home running

  • Light housekeeping: dishes, tidying and taking out the trash
  • Laundry and changing bed linens
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Grocery and pharmacy pick-up
  • Routine household tasks, like sorting mail and keeping walkways clear

What Home Companion never includes

Hands-on personal care of any kind: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting or incontinence care, feeding, help with transfers or walking, or handling medications. Home Companion also includes no nursing, therapy or medical care. When hands-on care is needed, we refer your family to a licensed home health agency, and Home Companion can continue alongside it.

The Cornerstone Standard

Concierge service, down to the smallest detail.

Home Companion isn't a staffing agency and it isn't a rotating schedule of strangers. It's a private, concierge-level service built around one family at a time: yours.

One point of contact

A direct line to your Cornerstone advisor for scheduling, changes and questions. Never a call center.

Matched, not assigned

Your loved one is paired with a consistent companion who learns their routines, preferences and how they take their coffee.

A note after every visit

A written update to your family after each visit, in English or Spanish, so you always know how the day went.

Discretion as standard

A signed confidentiality agreement, unmarked arrivals, and the polish of seasoned household staff.

Your calendar, not ours

Visits arranged around appointments, travel and family visits, with priority scheduling for Cornerstone members.

Screened before day one

Every Cornerstone companion clears Florida's Level 2 background screening and the full Cornerstone Screening Standard before ever entering a client's home.

Pricing & service area: Home Companion is quoted to your family's schedule during a free initial conversation, and Cornerstone members receive a preferred rate. Home Companion is available only within Palm Beach County.
Trust, Before Day One

Screened carefully. Matched thoughtfully.

The people who enter your loved one's home are the heart of this service. Here is exactly what we hold ourselves to.

The Cornerstone Screening Standard

Seven checks every Cornerstone companion completes before entering a client's home. Interested in joining our team? See careers.

The Consistency Promise

Because trust is built one familiar face at a time.

Your loved one sees the same companion, visit after visit, whenever it's humanly possible. Routines, preferences and the small details stay with someone who already knows them.

If a change is ever needed, your family hears it from us first, and the new companion is introduced in person before their first visit. Never a stranger at the door.

How It Works

Simple to start. Consistent every visit.

1

A private conversation

No cost. No obligation. Tell us about your loved one and what would help most. Every inquiry is returned within 24 hours.

2

An in-home intake

We meet your loved one at home and confirm their routines, preferences, emergency contacts and any dietary needs.

3

A written agreement

The services, schedule and length of visits your family chooses, in a clear, signed service agreement.

4

Your companion, introduced

Your loved one is matched with a consistent companion, introduced before the first visit.

5

Visits, and a note after each

Scheduled visits, with a written note to your family after every one. First visits are typically scheduled within a week of intake.

Start as small as you like. A single outing, a few hours a week, or a regular schedule. Many loved ones warm up to a companion gradually, so we're happy to begin with a light schedule and build from there.
Common Questions

Home Companion Questions

Do I need a Cornerstone membership to book Home Companion?

No. Home Companion is available entirely on its own. If your family later adds a Cornerstone membership, Home Companion continues at a preferred member rate.

How quickly can we get started?

Every inquiry is returned within 24 hours. After a short in-home intake and a signed service agreement, first visits are typically scheduled within a week. If your family has a specific date in mind, such as a return home from the hospital or a trip, tell us and we'll plan around it.

Can a companion help my parent bathe, dress, or take medications?

No. Home Companion is a non-medical service, and Cornerstone never provides hands-on personal care: no bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, help with transfers or walking, or handling medications. If your loved one needs that kind of help, we refer your family to a licensed home health agency, and Home Companion can continue alongside it.

Can you stay for a longer visit or overnight?

Extended and overnight stays can be arranged, depending on availability. Tell us what your family needs during the free consultation and we'll build the schedule around it.

Can you take my parent to appointments?

Yes. A companion can drive your loved one to appointments, wait on-site, and bring them home, with a written note to your family afterward. Transportation is non-medical and non-emergency.

Is Home Companion a medical service?

No. Home Companion is a non-medical companion and homemaker service, provided under Cornerstone's pending AHCA Homemaker & Companion Services registration. If a medical emergency ever occurs during a visit, 911 is called immediately and your family is notified.

What areas do you serve?

Home Companion is provided only within Palm Beach County, including Jupiter, North Palm Beach, Juno Beach, Tequesta, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Highland Beach and Boca Raton. If your loved one lives outside Palm Beach County, we're glad to point your family toward a trusted provider there.
